The only skill that guarantees financial success

Hey, it's Beau.

Hope you're doing well.

I don't know if you know this
about me, but I am a dad of two.

I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter
and a seven-month-old son, and lately I've

been thinking a lot about, like, what are
the skills that I can teach my children

as they grow that will kind of guarantee
that they have long-term success as

adults, no matter what they choose to do?

And I was thinking about my own life,
like, what are the most valuable skills

that I've ever learned in my life?

And I really think that there's not
many, if any, skills that are more

important to learn, especially when
it comes to, like, your career and

making money in entrepreneurship.

There's not many skills that are more
valuable than the skill of persuasive,

clear, effective communication.

You know, like public speaking,
being able to take the ideas in your

head and communicate those ideas to
an audience of people in a way that

adds value to those people's lives.

I don't think there's any skills that are
really more valuable than that because if

you think about it, no one knows what the
future economy is gonna look like and the

job market and all, and all of that, but
the people who are basically guaranteed to

prosper are the people that have audiences
of people that they're able to reach.

The, the people that can distribute
their message to the masses and do that

in a way that adds value to people's
lives so that people eventually want to

reciprocate in some way by maybe buying
a product or service from you, you know?

If you have that distribution
advantage and you have an audience

of people who respect you and see
you as a trusted leader or a, an

authority of some kind, you know?

If you have that audience, you will
always have a way to generate income.

No matter what the economy looks
like, no matter what's going on

in the world, you'll always have
the ability to generate income.

And, you know, this is something that
I really wanna teach my children, and I

was thinking about how I'm gonna do that.

And- I was thinking this would be a
great idea, like if you have kids, I

think you should consider doing this.

Um, maybe when my kids turn, you know,
five or six or something, I wanna

start doing like a monthly assignment.

So I'm gonna give them a monthly
assignment, and the assignment

is basically that they have to
give a speech on a certain topic.

So they can choose the topic every month,
uh, whatever they're interested in, you

know, whether that's, I don't know, Legos
or dinosaurs or, or whatever it is at the

time, you know, depending on their age.

And they have to, you know, do the
research, and they have to put together

a presentation, and then at the end
of every month or whatever, they are

gonna do that presentation, and they're
gonna present that to me and their mom.

And maybe we'll, maybe we'll even
record it or something so that

they can watch it back so that I
can give them tips on how they can

improve or, or whatever, you know?

Kind of like a Toastmasters kind of
thing, you know, but inside of the home.

And I was just thinking, you know, that's
such a great idea, uh, for children.

Like, I wish someone did that for me
when I was a kid because I started

making content online back in like 2013.

I think that's when I posted like
my first YouTube video or whatever,

and I remember how difficult it was
because I had never learned that skill.

I didn't learn that skill growing up.

Uh, no one taught me public
speaking or anything like that.

When I was growing up, I was
the, the shy kid, you know?

I was extremely quiet.

I was the last person in the world
who you would ever think would

become, like, a YouTuber or a content
creator or anything and make their

living talking to people, you know?

Um, 'cause I'm, I'm a big introvert,
you know, and I … It's, it doesn't

come naturally to me, really.

Like, the public speaking stuff
and, and communicating on camera a-

and that kind of stuff, it didn't
come naturally, naturally at all.

I had to develop that skill over
many years and by putting in,

putting in a ton of reps, you know?

And I remember how awkward and
uncomfortable it was when I first started.

And if I think about it, you
know, like, if I had just learned

that when I was young, I would've
had a big head start, you know?

And I wouldn't have had to go through
all those years as an adult of learning

that, and I would've had a huge advantage.

So that's definitely something that
I wanna teach my, my children, and

it's also something that I wanna
kind of, uh, teach to you, you know?

Like, I wanna kind of change, uh,
the way that I'm communicating

my message, or I'm kind of, like,
changing my mission, I feel like.

Um, because in the past, I used to
talk more about, like, more kind of

like high-level business strategies and
tactics and stuff, and sales funnels,

and paid ads, and all that kind of stuff.

And I still am gonna talk about those
things, but I think my deeper mission

is really to help people become better
leaders and better communicators, and

to help people share their message with
the world a- and build their audience

and have success on social media with,
like, their content marketing, and

to just encourage people to, to be
leaders in the world, and to really put

themselves out there and get over that
fear that you might have, you know?

I think a lot of people have a lot of
fear around public speaking and, you know,

talking in front of the camera, stuff
like that I think most people probably who

follow me, most people are maybe in that
more beginning phase like I used to be,

where you're maybe posting some content,
uh, but it's not really resonating

or it's not getting results, or maybe
you're just avoiding posting content.

You're not posting any content
at all, and in that case, you

definitely need to change that.

You need to start putting your,
your message out there if you

ever wanna grow and you wanna
guarantee your future success.

I think it's extremely important,
but I do remember what it was like

to be a beginner and to have so much
resistance and hesitation around that.

You know, like, uh, it's very scary when
you're first starting, and I think a

lot of people are struggling with that.

A lot of people, that's kind of the
main bottleneck that they have in

their business is, you know, maybe
you have a lot of knowledge and wisdom

to offer the world, maybe you have a
valuable product or service, but you

just aren't reaching enough people.

Uh, not enough people know you exist.

Not enough people even know that you have
anything to sell, you know, because you're

not, you're not getting enough reach.

You're not putting yourself out there.

You're not letting your message spread,
you know, and you're not learning the

skills maybe that you need to learn
in order to make your message spread.

Uh, there, there's so
much that goes into it.

It's like it's not just the skills.

Like you need to learn the skills
of effective communication, like

how to communicate in a way that
actually makes people pay attention

to what you have to say in a way
that makes the algorithms spread your

content to more people, you know?

But you also have to learn the skill
of like getting out of your own way and

developing confidence within yourself.

Um, you know, it's a, it's a very like
emotional, even like a, a spiritual

battle you might say, of learning
how to, you know, express yourself

in that way w- in, in a way that
might not come naturally to you.

You know, like when I was a lot
younger, it was not natural.

It, it didn't feel natural at all
to like turn on the camera and talk

to the camera and then post that
online for the whole world to see.

Like I'm a very private kind of person.

Like if I didn't have a business
to grow, I probably wouldn't be

on social media at all, you know?

So I had to overcome so much resistance.

Like it, it never felt natural to me.

Um, but eventually it did start
to feel more n- more natural, and

eventually I actually learned to enjoy
it, you know, despite me being a huge

introvert and these skills, uh, being
very difficult for me to develop.

Despite that, I found a way to enjoy
it because I realized that there's a

lot of enjoyment that comes from adding
value to other people's lives and seeing

the difference that you can make in
other people's lives and, and just, I

don't know, fulfilling your God-given
potential, I guess, and becoming a leader.

There's a lot of fulfillment that comes
from that and, you know, the personal

growth that comes from that So I really
think, you know, if, if you're stuck in

your business in any way, if you're not
making as much money as you wanna make

in your business, if you're not satisfied
with where you're at in your life, I

really think the most valuable thing that
you can do is start learning this skill.

Start learning the skill of
communicating your ideas to the world,

and just start putting in the reps.

And it can change your life in
a very short amount of time,

especially if you start posting
content on social media every day.

I mean, you can really blow
up your business very quickly.

Um, like when I started posting short-form
content a few years back, uh, a few

years back when I went through a breakup
with a past business partner of mine, I

basically had to start over from scratch.

I had to start a brand new business
where no one knew me, like in a

niche where no one had ever heard
of me before, and I started posting

short-form content, showing up every day.

It was kind of awkward and uncomfortable
at first, but I think in the first

like three to six months of posting
content, I grew a decent size following.

I grew my email list to a few thousand
people, and then I did like a launch and

I made, I think I made like $30,000 or
something in my very first launch, you

know, with a brand new business within
like six months of starting it, you know?

So you can really change
your life very quickly.

Um, and yeah, I just think this
is one of the most valuable skills

that anybody could, could learn and
It's a lifelong practice, you know?

Like, I've been doing this for 13 years
now, uh, putting myself out there, sharing

my message with the world, and I still
feel like I have a long way to go, but

I've definitely come a long way as well.

And I've just seen how valuable it's been,
though, to learn this skill and, and to

get in the habit of putting my message
out into the world and impacting people.

And the financial results that can
come from that, too, are amazing.

And it can just, you know,
change your life in so many

ways, both internal and external.

You know, the personal growth aspect of
it is very powerful, is, is worth it.

Just for that, it's worth it, I think.

Even if you never made any money from
it, just the ability to, you know, become

a leader and to develop your, your own
self-confidence and sense of certainty

in your message and, like, there's just
so much value that comes from that,

too, and learning how to articulate your
ideas and creativity and self-expression.

Like, there's a lot of value
just in that aspect of it.

But, um, the financial and business
results are, are awesome, too, and

it's really, like, one skill that's
sort of like a, a keystone skill.

You know?

It's like a foundational skill, and
I find that it's what a lot of people

are missing because a lot of people are
trying to implement, like, other tactics

and strategies and sales funnels, or
they're spending their time building some

product or service behind the scenes,
but they don't have that foundational

skill of effective communication, and
so they don't have an audience maybe.

And so no matter how good they are at
the other things, if you don't have an

audience or you don't have traffic or you
don't have leads flowing in your business,

if you're not spreading your message to a
large number of people, then it's always

gonna be hard for you to, for you to win.

You're always gonna struggle to make money
in your business if you don't have that.

So Yeah, long story short, it's a,
it's a skill worth learning, and I'm

here to help you develop that skill.

A lot of my content mo- moving
forward is gonna be more about this

because after working with a lot
of creators and auditing a lot of

people's businesses, I've seen pretty
clearly that this is one of the

biggest bottlenecks for most people.

Most people, they don't
have that skill yet.

You know?

Either they're not putting themselves
out there and they have a lot of

resistance around that and they need
to learn how to overcome that, or

they are putting their message out
there, but it's not getting traction.

You know?

Like, it's not getting
the views on social media.

It's not really moving the needle in
their business in the way that it could.

And so I just see that
this is a huge need.

This is something that
people really need to learn.

And so, um, yeah, moving forward, I'm
gonna be kind of, you know, talking

about this a lot more, I guess.

And I also have a program
that I'm releasing.

Uh, it might be out already, depending
on when you're listening to this.

But I have a program that I'm working
on that is gonna help you with this kind

of thing, like growing your personal
brand and growing your following

on social media, um, just because
I've seen that this is the biggest

need for most people that follow me.

So I wanted to put, uh, put together
something that would help you with that.

So stay tuned for that.

I'll have all the details for you soon.

But, but yeah, that's all for today.

I'll talk to you soon.

Cheers.
