Why You Should Consider Starting a Daily Short Form Podcast

Hey Bo here.

I want to talk about why I think
you should consider doing a daily

short form podcast for your business.

I did this about a year ago for
about a 90 day period, and I noticed

amazing benefits from doing it, and I
just started doing it again, and I'm

already seeing the benefits of it.

So I think this is a great thing to
do if you want to get more business

results, if you wanna make more
money, and also if you want to grow in

yourself and improve your communication.

Skills.

This has been one of the best things
to improve my own communication skills.

Like I've been making content online for
like the past decade, and I've seen that.

It's just repetition.

Like if you're insecure about
your ability to communicate,

maybe you're not that fluent.

When you communicate,
you're not the best speaker.

Like you can't speak impromptu and you
kind of stumble over your words maybe,

or you lose your train of thought.

That's totally normal.

Like if I look back on some of the
content that I created, I, I actually

deleted it from the face of the earth
'cause I was so embarrassed ' cause it

was so cringe, you know, to look at it.

But when I first started making
YouTube videos back in like 2013 or

so, and I look at those videos, I,
I have them embedded in my memory.

They don't exist anymore,
but I can still imagine them.

And it, it was just.

So cringey, but it's just so inspiring
in a way to see how far I've come.

And I still have a long way to go,
but I can see how it's just the

repetition, you know, like the more
repetition you put in, in communicating

your message to the world, the
better you get at communicating it.

And the more articulate you become,
the better able you are to express

your thoughts and your ideas
and your opinions and beliefs.

And that is one of the most valuable
skills that you could possibly have when

it comes to growing an online business.

If you look at all the most
successful creators out there, they

are all very good communicators.

And so you have to develop that skill.

You have to develop that skill of being
able to speak spontaneously to communicate

your ideas in a very spontaneous manner.

And I think doing a daily short
form podcast is one of the best

ways to do that because you get
the repetition that you need.

You know, like every single day
you're talking spontaneously with

no edits for about, you know,
anywhere from three to 10 minutes.

You know, that's the sweet spot that
I like to stay in is, you know, three,

three to maybe up to 15 minutes maximum.

And my goal with these
podcast episodes is just to.

Speak my thoughts without editing them.

And my goal is to not make any mistakes.

If I can avoid it and to just speak
straight through so that I don't, I

don't have to edit this or anything.

I just, you know, speak
and then I post it.

And it's not always
perfect the first time.

You know, sometimes I have to do
multiple takes of these episodes 'cause

I mess up and I have to start over.

But that repetition, I, I already
noticed how it's improving my.

Ability to communicate.

So that's one of the, the major things
is like just that skill development.

The other thing I think when it
comes to business results is podcasts

are so amazing for building trust
with your audience because your

audience actually gets to know you.

They get to hear you, they get to hear
how you think, and they get to hear

little personal details about your life.

That they might not otherwise know.

You know, they might not know that
from just watching your content on

social media, because I know for
me personally, I don't share much

personal stuff on my social media.

Like just from watching my content
on social media, you're not gonna

really get to know who I am.

I mean a little bit, but not really.

The deeper parts of myself, you know?

And so podcasts are such an amazing way
to build trust because people can listen

to you while they're wash, walking the
dog, washing the dishes, laying in bed,

you know, they can listen to you anytime.

They can put their phone in their pocket,
have their headphones on, and you're in

their ear for a period of time, and they
can really start to form a connection with

you and feel like they know who you are.

And they kind of get a sense
of your, your vibes, you know?

And if you're a good person, which
I'm sure you are, if you're a genuine

person, you want to help people.

You have a good message to offer, you
have value to offer, then that is only

going to help help you if you can get
your voice in people's ears more often.

And podcasts are, are the best
way I think, because they're

even better than video content.

You know, like people talk about
how video content is so great and

it's great for discoverability.

I think like video content is
great for like getting that

initial attention that you need.

But I think like you can use video
on the front end of your business

and a podcast more on the back end.

So like the video content is more
to like capture people's attention

and get people into your world and
get them to know you a little bit.

But then you want to get people on your
email list or inside of your online

community, and that's when you can
nurture them over a longer period of time

and have them get to know you better.

And podcasts are probably
the best way to do that.

It's more convenient for people,
first of all, to listen to

podcasts than to watch a video.

If they're watching a video,
they have to look at a screen,

which is not always convenient.

You can't just like pull out your
laptop or your phone anytime you

got other stuff you're doing.

You're out taking a hike or walking
the dog or doing something, you know?

But in those times, you
can listen to a podcast.

You might not be able to watch
a video, but you can listen to a

podcast, so it's more convenient.

And that means people are more
likely to actually listen.

And if you look at the stats for podcast,
I, I heard this the other day and I

was kind of mind blown by this, but did
you know that there are only less than

500,000 active podcasts in the world?

That might sound like a lot, 500,000, but
in the grand scheme of things, the, the,

in the scheme of the, the whole internet,
500,000 active podcasts, that is nothing.

That means podcasting is
such a ripe opportunity.

Like I think we are in the beginning
phases of exponential growth for

podcasting, and I think it's only
gonna become more and more popular over

time, especially because of how busy
people are these days and how much,

like the insane amount of video content
and stuff that's out on the internet.

I think people are gonna start to crave
like a more authentic, deeper connection

with the creators that they follow.

And podcasting is.

I think the best way to build
that connection and build

that trust with your audience.

So there's just so many benefits to it.

I could talk a lot more about it, this
is just like a spontaneous episode that I

just, I just had this thought and I just
turned on the mic and started recording.

So I want to gather some more stats
and stuff to kind of like prove my

point on why podcasts are amazing.

But f first of all, like I said, the
fact that there's only 500,000 active

podcasts in the world, means if you
create a podcast, you're gonna be.

Amongst rare company in a way.

Like there's not that many people
that have a podcast and that are also

consistently posting on that podcast.

And yes, podcasts might not get as
many downloads, as many views as a of a

YouTube video or a TikTok video might get.

You know, like I get tens of
thousands of views on most of my

short form videos that I post online.

But I would almost rather, I
would probably rather have like.

A hundred people listen to every one of
my podcast episodes then to get 10,000

people to watch my tiktoks, because
those people that are listening to

my podcast, those are my true fans.

You know, those are the people that
really value what I have to say.

They like what I have to say.

They like my personality and my
vibes, and those are the people that

are gonna end up becoming the best
customers of mine in the future.

And.

You know, not everyone's gonna become
a customer and that's fine, but

like your, your customers are the
people that are the, the people that

feel like they know and trust you.

You know, like that's
the name of the game.

That's why so many people in the
online space are struggling, I think,

is because they don't have the trust.

They might have the attention, they might
have the viral social media content.

They might have all the views,
but they lack that one critical

element, which is trust.

And I think starting a daily short form
podcast is one of the fastest ways for you

to increase the trust with your audience.

I really, really believe that.

And it's not like you have to do a
podcast every day, like you have to

sit down and record every single day.

You can batch these episodes.

So let's say you wanna do
five or seven of them a week.

Well, you could sit down in one hour
and easily record five to seven,

short five to 10 minute episodes.

And the way I do it is, you know, I
do it kind of like when I'm inspired.

Like when I have an idea, I'll
just turn on the mic real quick

and record it and it takes like 10
minutes, you know, it's nothing.

So if I have an idea and I'm
inspired to talk about something,

I'll just record it right then.

But then other times I'll batch it.

I'll batch a few episodes ahead.

And try to get ahead of schedule.

And the way that I do it personally
is I record these episodes and I post

them inside of my Telegram community.

So I like Telegram because you
can easily post voice messages.

Like I just, I record the episode
in my Voice Notes app, and then

I share it to my telegram group.

And then I also share the
voice episode to my podcast.

So I publish it on my public podcast
and also in my private community.

And so I'm able to kind of like, you know,
get people from two different angles,

like people that are in my community
can enjoy the podcast episodes in there.

And then people that maybe aren't in
my community or they don't want to

join the community for whatever reason.

And they can still enjoy it
on the public podcast as well.

So that's how I do it.

That's kind of how I kill
two birds with one stone.

So I'm using this content to nurture
my community that I have and also

get more exposure publicly with
the public version of the podcast.

And then you can also use
this as a lead magnet.

It's a really great lead magnet.

Like send people to an opt-in
page where they can sign up to get

notifications about your daily podcast
or your your telegram community or

whatever, wherever you want to do that.

So it's a great lead magnet.

You can really have a lot of your
business running just around this podcast.

Like everything can
revolve around the podcast.

The podcast is your lead magnet.

The podcast is your nurture strategy, how
you get people to know about what you do

and who you are over a period of time.

And it can also be like your
email marketing strategy.

So like instead of having to write
these long emails, you can just simply

send people a short email with a
link to the daily podcast episode.

You know, so it really simplifies things
and I really think this is a, a great

strategy for a lot of people, and I think
more people should consider doing this.

So that's all for today.

Let me know if this is a
topic that interests you.

If this, this is something that
you would want to do and maybe

I can share more about it soon.

Take care.
